OUR FOOTBALL TEAM
RANELAGH GAELS INTERNATIONALS
In August 2023, Ranelagh Gaels club coaches Garrett Phelan and Frank Kelly began a long term initiative to introduce beginners GAA Football to the international community living within the club’s catchment area of D4/D6/D6W.
Ranelagh Gaels Internationals (RGI) is one of our club’s EDI (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion) initiatives, one that continues to grow, along with our dedication to Gender Parity, LGBTQ+ and coaching for people with additional needs ( Ranelagh Rockets ). We seek continual improvement in all of these initiatives, however none of this work can be maintained nor progressed without volunteers and additional support.
To date RGI have had members from Austrailia, China, South Korea, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nigeria, Angola, Algeria, Mexico, Equador, Honduras, France, USA and we continue to promote Gaelic football to internationals of all ages living within our community.
