Club Chairperson Peter Sweeney, Juvenile Coaching Team of the Year winner Jane Hall and Club Person of the Year Louise Donohue

The Ranelagh Gaels Annual Awards night was held recently at the Dropping Well and was another huge success.

Congratulations to all of our winners:

Women’s Player of the Year: Enya Mulcahy
Men’s Player of the Year: Noel Crowley
Juvenile Coaching Team of the Year: Jane Hall and Brian Horkan
Club Person of the Year: Louise Donohue

Enya Mulcahy was voted as Women’s Player of the Year following a poll of the entire poll, with her brilliant performance in last year’s Junior D Championship final win a particular stand-out.

Club President Liam O’Hagan picked the Men’s Player of the Year and he settled on Noel Crowley after a consistently excellent 2019.

Jane Hall and Brian Horkan were selected as Juvenile Coaches of the Year for 2019 for their ongoing work with the 2010 girls’ team. The awarded was voted for by parents, players and fellow coaches, with several lovely citations for the pair’s work given.

The winner of the big prize on the night was Club Secretary Louise Donohue, who was rightly named Club Person of the Year for 2019 .

Louise is a t ireless worker for the club , present at nearly every men’s and women’s match – not to mention training – and every meeting and event too. She represents the beating heart of Ranelagh Gaels  and without her we wouldn’t be in the healthy position we are now.

Also honoured on the night were our 2019 women’s Dublin Junior D Football Championship winners , who picked up their medals and enjoyed another thoroughly deserved night of celebration.
