Think about your session content & the season – plan ahead in small blocks 2-4 weeks. This will change as games are played but play around see what works.
Varity; keep it fresh & varied. We don’t want players bored – no learning takes place!
Decision making; Session must be nearly all game based this is what creates learning through decisions.
Structured V Unstructured; times when the basics need to be done but as per point 5 games take their own lives so try create the unstructured within a structured training session.
Good coaching habits create standards for everyone – players see this.
Questions are good; learning environment – create it-how, why, where?
Create a team that plays with ‘freedom & responsibility’ .
Most importantly bring a SMILE, ENERGY, ENTHUASISM.
