Getting Active and Keeping Well in 2021

Starting 2021 with another lockdown is far from ideal, but we'll make the best of it and get back exercising in any small way we can.

With that in mind, we will be starting a midweek online movement programme for our juvenile players which will be kindly brought to you by two parents (and physios) from the club, Dominic Hoban

Parents and guardians are encouraged to join in too. All exercises are relatable to young and old!

Also, our Games Promotion Officer, Simon Lambert, is working with coaches to provide an online skills development session on Saturdays.

Lead coaches will be in touch with their own teams in the next week or two with all of the details. Coach contact details can be found here.

Simon recorded several skills and warm-up videos for our kids during the first lockdown which can be accessed here.

In the meantime, with the dreaded return of home-schooling it's important that children (and parents!) get out for a walk or run during the day if they can. Having the routine of a daily walk or loop is beneficial for mind and body.

There is a free HSE course aimed at stress control for parents that can be accessed here
