Children must be in junior infants class to join. Just get in touch with the relevant mentor in advance (see contacts below) to make sure that the Academy is on and that they’re aware that you’re coming along.
Your child must be a member of the club to join in.

Track-suit and runners are fine initially. Football boots are better for grip, particularly in the winter months. And don't forget plenty of layers, with hats and gloves--it can get quite cold out on the pitch.
Mouth-guards (gumshields) are compulsory and must be worn. Ranelagh Gaels operates a ‘no mouth-guard, no play’ policy. It is up to each child’s parent or guardian to ensure that their child is wearing a mouth-guard (they can be purchased in most pharmacies).
Don't forget a drink - water in a refillable bottle (marked with your child's name) is best to ensure no plastic waste is left behind.

Yes! We are always looking for new people to get involved as coaches. We provide all the support you will need to get you up and running even if you have never played a game of football or hurling before, as is the case for many of our coaches. Coaching your child’s team is a great way to bond and spend fun time with them. If coaching isn't your thing, there are plenty other ways to get involved! Please get in touch if you can help out in any way.
